︎ Above all, create something to be proud of
From Los Angeles, CA.
I am at home, wherever I can design...
My name is Ian Clark. I have a master's from Carnegie Mellon University in Human-Computer Interaction. I am passionate about designing digital products that evoke emotion and tell stories through design. I believe the foundational principles of design thinking can transcend all industries, inspiring me to tackle life's complex problems that humans encounter daily.
My fashion design background led me to the user-centered design world. I have always had a creative eye and an appreciation for freedom of expression. I genuinely love minimalistic and simplistic designs, regardless of the medium. I founded House of Orange, a luxury clothing brand that tells personal stories through fabrics. In five years, I have designed seven distinct collections. The brand has garnered recognition from notable figures such as Roddy Rich, Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz, Justin Holiday of the Denver Nuggets, Caleb Castille, and Sinqua Walls. It has been showcased on renowned platforms worldwide, including iHeart's The Breakfast Club Radio and The Joe Budden Podcast. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Sprite for their Limelight Campaign.
As I managed my brand, it became clear that I desired to create solutions with a more significant influence on the world. This realization prompted me to embark on a journey toward a career in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) design. I told myself that if I could design clothes, I could design the world.
When I am not designing collections or screens for compelling user experiences, I enjoy traveling the world, working out, and listening to music.
